I use this for color and black and white infra red photography with my Canon digital camera. Keep in mind that with this filter on the camera you won't see anything in the viewfinder and may have to focus manually with the filter off before taking the pictures. Exposures may be long also.
Description of Tiffen 77mm Infra-Red 87 Filter
Various filters are used to reduce unwanted visible light. Total visible light absorption, and transmitting only infrared light, can be useful. Prior testing is recommended. The Infrared 87 filter is intended for use with black and white infrared film only. There is no visible transmission.Used to reduce unwanted visible light. Prior testing is recommended.
